Planning your visit to Slide & Splash strategically makes all the difference in ensuring a comfortable, fun, and safe day. We have put together an updated checklist with everything you need to know to make the most of the Algarve’s most iconic water park, ensuring nothing essential is left behind.
Must-have essentials
Regarding personal items, choosing a comfortable swimsuit is a priority; models without zippers or metal parts are recommended to ensure total freedom and safety on the slides. A towel and flip-flops are indispensable partners for moving between attractions, as is sunscreen, which should be water-resistant and applied several times throughout the day. To carry all this, a lightweight backpack or a waterproof bag are the best options.
For families traveling with babies and children, extra attention is required. It is important to remember that the use of appropriate swim diapers is mandatory for all babies, so make sure to include them in your travel bag.
Additionally, wearing a hat or cap provides extra protection during peak heat hours, and it is also advisable to bring a change of dry clothes for the end of the day.
Practical tips for a more efficient day
Constant hydration is essential for everyone’s well-being; we recommend drinking water every 60 to 90 minutes. At Slide & Splash, you don’t need to worry about constantly going back to your locker or where you left your belongings: there are several drinking fountains strategically scattered throughout the park. If you have questions about their location, just ask our staff, who are always available to help.
Planning strategic breaks is also fundamental to recharging your batteries, especially when traveling with children. Areas like the Laguna and Jacuzzi are perfect for family relaxation, while Aquafeeling is an excellent option for a refreshing break. For lunch, you can enjoy the varied gastronomic offer of our restaurants or, if you prefer an exclusive base and guaranteed shade all day, opt for the Private Cabanas service.
If you wish to celebrate your birthday at our park, you can bring a cake, we can even store it in the Pizzeria or the Splash Restaurant if it needs refrigeration. Please be advised that, for Health and Hygiene reasons, we are not allowed to lend knives to cut the cake, so you must bring your own. We know it can be considered a weapon-like object, but if a kitchen knife is detected at the entrance, entry is permitted, provided it is used with care.
To capture the day without worries, remember that phones and watches are prohibited on the slides. To ensure you don’t miss any smiles, the Splash Memories system offers automatic photo and video with facial recognition, a service you can purchase before or during your visit to capture all your moments without putting your equipment at risk.
What NOT to bring and internal rules
To ensure the safety of all visitors, certain objects are not allowed inside the premises. Glass, sharp objects, and rigid or metallic toys are prohibited in both the pools and the slides. Regarding food, for your convenience, the park provides microwaves in the larger terrace areas for those who need to heat food, we simply ask for their proper use.
